READING COMPREHENSION

One-Dollar Coin
Yesterday, Harry went to the playground. As he made his way there, he saw
a shining object on the ground. He bent down and picked it up. It was a one-dollar
coin. Harry looked at the coin carefully. It had a tiny, red spot on it. He wanted to
return the coin to the owner, but no one was around. So, he took it and dropped it
into a beggar’s bowl.

Later, that day, Harry went to the shop. His mother wanted him to buy a few
eggs and butter. “How much do they cost?” Harry asked the shopkeeper. “Four
dollars,” answered the shopkeeper. Harry gave him five dollars and he returned
two dollars to Harry. Harry realised that the shopkeeper had made an error. So, he
went back to the shop to return the money.

The shopkeeper was so pleased with Harry

for being honest. That he let him keep the extra
money. Harry looked at the coin. To his surprise,
it was the same coin with the red spot. “This is a
really lucky coin,” he thought. So, he decided to
keep it safely in his piggy bank.
