SPLIT REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY

Description
The instructions in this bulletin are for assembly of 2
split reflectors for parabolic antennas. The reflector
halves aand mounting ring ahve the same serial
number. Joint plates

The installation, maintenance, or removal of antenna
systems requires qualified, experienced personnel. Hex nut

such personnel. Antenna systems should be for alignment
inspected once a year by qualified personnel to bolt
verify proper installation, maintenance, and
condition of equipment.

NOTE:
TOP
I. Confirm serial numbers are identical on each
reflector half and mounting ring.

II. Inspect splice strip on reflector for damage.

III. Station person under reflector. The reflector

should be assembled on a flat level surface.

IV. Place reflector halves together.

NOTE: Install 6 location bolts and lock nut in
splice plate, 3 on each side of feed hole

NOTE 1: Install and tighten 4 alignment bolts
at locations shown, 2 at each joint plate. bolts
should insert easily by hand, remove paint
form holes if necessary.

NOTE 2: Tighten remaining flange bolts.

NOTE: Add remainning splice strip bolts and tighten from rim to feed hole, one side at a time.
The seam gap must be made uniform prior to tigghtening splice strip bolts.The seam gap
can be opened by person under the reflector pushing
outward at the seam, and closed by person outside
dish pushing inward at seam. Tighten bolts
to specified torque along seam sequentially.
Repeat at the opposite seam

NOTE: Attach mount ring, aligning red line match marks,
using M8 button head screws, as shown. Tighten hardware
inone direction, around mounting ring. (Seam is hsown Red line
vertical. It may be at 45deg. relative to top for some match marks
reflectors)
