Buying Intention Survey

Questionnaire

The buying intention survey was conducted asking the following two main questions:
 Would you consider buying fruits and vegetables grown hydroponically?
 How much would you like to pay for the hydroponically grown plants as compared to
the currently available plants?

Profile of Respondents
The survey received responses from 34 persons. 58.8% of the respondents are females. The
respondents belonged to middle income group. 11.11% of the respondents are from the upper
middle income groups. The middle income group population is the biggest customer segment
that we have as our target customers, but they are also the most price sensitive and
vulnerable. The upper middle income group is also another target market. The upper class can
also be a potential customer segment, as they are not price sensitive and more inclined

Results of the Survey

As seen in the chart, more than half of the respondents said that they were willing to buy our
product. Only 3% of the respondents said that they would not buy it. Hence, we conclude that
our product would be accepted by the customers and we can definitely venture into selling it.
As seen in the chart, more than half of the respondents said they would be willing to pay a
price that is same as the price of the fruits and vegetables sold currently in the market. Higher
number of people said they would pay more price for the fruits and vegetables than those who
said they would pay less price. But we conclude that we would not be able to put high
disparity in prices of our products. Having difference in prices may result into loss of
customers for us.
