We recently interviewed three candidates for this position.
We have decided to appoint Mr Jeff Sanderson. I will brief describe the candidate’s strengths and explain the reasons for our decision. Let analyze again our most recent situation. First, sales revenue was 35% below our target, so candidates who apply for sales and marketing must be able to increase sales and provide an effective marketing strategy. This position requires a person with organizational interpersonal skills, a strong personality and leadership abilities as well to manage the sales team in order to avoid the lack of connection among the teams’ member and decrease turnover rates. We also need to hire an energetic, enthusiastic director who has extensive knowledge and understands the market in which our company are concurrently engaged. All three candidates have a strong academic background as well as relevant job experience. They also have good linguistic abilities, be eager to work and be willing to travel frequently between three countries. First, Miss Ramos, Miss Ramos is a quite deserving candidates for the role. She has worked in sales and marketing for our products since leaving university. She is intelligent, skilled at computing and numbers, and knowledgeable about in the South American market. She has a strong, charismatic personality as well as an enthusiastic, dynamic passion, and she understands how to motivate teams. But her poor experience in management and her strong personality may be an issue when she works with others in teams. Following that, Miss Chantal Lefevre is an excellent candidate with extensive experience in sales and marketing since she has over 15 years working in this area. She understands how to boost sales team effectiveness and how to work with customers database. However, her little understanding of the South American market may be a barrier to quickly improving the situation. Finally, we choose Mr. Jeff to become our Sales and Marketing Director of company. He has the most relevant experience since he has always worked in sales, has been a Sales Manager in France and Italy, and has increased sales by 8% over a five-year period, which is a really good performance that we required. He also has an in-depth understanding of the market cultures in which we are still developing. He is a good leader with active listening skills and a large network to research the local market.
