Instructions:
Read this article on The State of QR in 2021 and answer the following questions:

1. Our society has increased the use of QR codes as a way of interacting with consumer products and
services. How much did the number of interactions with QR codes grow between 2018-2020?

2. Give examples of how the use of QR codes is different today than it was back when they were first
introduced. Use these areas:

Touchless: scan a QR code with their smartphone to view the menu

Easy of Use: generate a unique code for each coupon and include it on the
coupon itself.

3. Describe how QR codes are being used today:

inventory management, mobile marketing, product packaging, contact


tracing, and even for print advertising.

4. Google the term NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION. Investigate what this term means and find 3 or 4
examples of this technology.
