Dhruvi: Good morning everyone and welcome to ____________ show I am

Dhruvi, your host for today`s special interview. We have the privilege of to
have a live session with none other than Sean Covey who authored the famous
book “The 7 habits of highly effective teenagers.” Welcome, Sir.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): Thank you for having me, Dhruvi. It`s a pleasur for me to
be here.
Dhruvi: Let`s dive right in. Could you share what inspired you to write this
book.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): Yeah, my father always inspired me and helped me
make right choices in life. I wanted to re-write a book for teenagers that would
help young people make the right choics while growing up in the chaos of
today. Thus, this book was written.
Dhruvi: Our audience are keen to know – which habit among the seven is the
most challenging one.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST.
Dhruvi: Sorry sir, I didn`t get that.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): It`s all about learning to prioritize and manage your time
so that your first things come first, not last.
In my book, I have explained this with the help of the time Quadeant Model.
Dhruvi: Can you please elaborate the model for our audience?
Aadhya (Sean Covey): You see, the quadeant is made up of 2 primary
ingredients are important and urgent.
In general, we spend our time in four different time quadeant. Each quadeant
contains different kinds of activities and is represented by a type of person.
Dhruvi: Sorry sir, could you elaborate it a little more I am not able to get it.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): Let me simplify it a bit more for you all.
Could you please get me 2 beakers, a few rocks, some pebbles and some sand.
Also, I want 2 volunteers from our audience.
I have got a challenge for you – There are 2 beakers in front of you. You have
to place all these rocks, pebbles and sand by just using one beaker. Good Luck!
Hriday: It seems a very easy task what is challenging in it? I will complete it in a
few seconds only.
First I will place the sand, then pebbles oh! I am not left with the space to place
the rocks.
(Tries to make the space for the rocks.)
Oh god! I am not able to do such an easy task.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): It`s alright.
Elisha: May I give it a try once?
Aadhya (Sean Covey): Oh sure!
Elisha: I will first place the rocks, then small pebbles and now I will place the
sand.
Oh! I have completed it.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): Well that`s great!
We observed that in the first beaker Hriday placed sand first, then pebbles and
found that no space is left for the rocks. Whereas Elisha placed rocks first, then
pebbles and then the sand where she did not found any difficulty to place
them all.
Dhruvi: Why is it so sir?
Aadhya (Sean Covey): It is because these beakers represent your life. Where
the rocks represent the most important things that have real value like your
health, your family and your studies.
The pebbles represent the things in your life that matter, but you could live
without them like your friends, your hobbies etc.
The sand represents everything else - the things like watching televisions,
browsing social media sites, playing video games and many more.
Dhruvi: Thank you, for your time and valuable insights. It's been an absolute
pleasure having you on the show.
Aadhya (Sean Covey): Thank you for having me, [Your Name]. It's been a
pleasure.
Dhruvi: And thank you to our audience for tuning in. That wraps up tonight's
interview. Until next time, take care!
