MHAARUF A. ABAD, MOHAIMEN B. HASAN. 2023. “GPS+GSM BASED
VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEM USING ARDUINO WITH SOLAR PANEL”.
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Capstone Project. College of
Information and Communication Technology. Cotabato Foundation College of
Science and Technology, Doroluman, Arakan North Cotabato. 59 pp.

Adviser: SARAH MAE G. PENDATUN, MIS

The vehicle theft has become a very big challenge for phone owners especially in

the remote areas where thefts are targeting anyone as long as they have a phone. While

tracking devices are designed to find lost items, some people have already started abusing

the technology to track people without their consent. Since trackers are small, bad actors

can easily slip them into your pocket, bag, or vehicle and track you without your

knowledge, hence it realized the development and implementation of this mobile based

system. The scope of the study incudes tracking and locating the coordinates of the user’s

phone using a built-in GPS. The user must send an invitation first n order to track other

devices. Since the developed app is web-based, the user cannot use the system without an

internet connection.

The system was developed from March to November, 2023 in Brgy. Rajahmuda,

Pikit North Cotabato.
