This form is used to propose international development cooperation projects to be implemented in


collaboration with the Government of Mexico. The information provided will allow us to assess the
feasibility of such projects. If you require assistance in filling it out, please contact your counterpart at the
Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID).

To facilitate its completion, it is suggested to consult the Instructions for the International Cooperation for
Development Project Submission Form, as well as the Catalog of Mexican International Cooperation for

III. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT
In this section, clearly state the problem or need that the project intends to address. Provide background information and identify the
general context of the project, its linkage with the public policy priorities of the country where it will be carried out, as well as the
beneficiaries it seeks to serve. This information will be used to evaluate the relevance of the project.

Describe the narrative of the problem tree that allows us to analyze the causes and effects of the central problem. Maximum 600 words.

III.3 Description of the selected alternative (analysis of alternatives, only if applicable)


Describe the narrative of the analysis of alternatives, explaining the criteria evaluated to select the most viable intervention strategy, i.e. the
project. Maximum 400 words. Additionally, attach the analysis of alternatives (if applicable).

III.4 Antecedents
Mention the public policies and previous or ongoing cooperation projects that have attempted to solve the described problem. Include names,
partners involved and dates. Maximum 300 words.

Indicate in a concrete and disaggregated manner (by sex and age groups) the population / institution(s) / geographic area benefited by the project.

IV. PROJECT PLANNING MATRIX


Because AMEXCID has results-oriented management mechanisms, the approval of a project will depend on whether the proposal complies
with the following elements:
● Clear and precise objectives.
● Measurable, transparent, verifiable and results-oriented
indicators that allow measuring the project's progress.
● External factors necessary for the achievement of project
objectives and results.

Depending on the size of the project, add as many outcomes and activities as necessary. Each objective and result may have more than
one indicator. It is suggested to consult the Instructions for filling out the Project Presentation Form.
