Office is a building or room where clerical or professional duties are performed.


Office Layout is the arrangement of furniture, supplies, equipment, procedures and
things necessary for work in a proper manner in the available space that would give maximum
output.
The term office layout deals with the design and décor of an office. It takes into
account all the equipment, supplies, accessories, and designs an arrangement needed for the
proper functioning of an office.
Office Layout affects the Productivity of staff and company's image, so it must be
planned thoroughly, here are some considerations that must be observed:
1. Planning
It is important to plan and design the office accordingly, the placement of furniture,
equipment, machines and tools that are essential use for the office. A floor plan will help
picture the office. Budget should also be included in the planning. It’s suggested to hire
an interior designer to the job.
2. Lighting
Designing offices that face the north or east gets more of natural lighting. It avoids more
consumption of power, but it's not possible for every office to have a window with
natural lighting that's it should strive to follow adequate ambient light for each employee.
