Shelf life

Conveniently stored in closed containers, BAIFIX CEF can be stored for 12

months. The product must be protected from frost.

ACTION

The BAIFIX CEF gives the merchandise permanent pressing properties, permanent
anti-wrinkle effect, calendering effects, dimensional stability and fixation of finishes.

It can be used on all types of cellulosic fibers, both pure and in mixtures.

The resin has a low formaldehyde content, which means that when well cured and in
normal use proportions, there is no odor.

APPLICATION

BAIFIX CEF is applied by the dry cross-linking process, together with a catalyst.

If you need curing at a temperature that can be from 5 minutes at 140oC to 40 seconds
at 180oC.

Recommended quantities

It is a product that is recommended to be applied continuously although it can also be

used due to exhaustion.

The quantities to use vary between 20 and 150 g/l depending on the characteristics
requested from the final merchandise. The user must carry out the corresponding tests.

The recommended catalysts are magnesium chloride, diammonium phosphate,

ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride.

To guarantee the stability of the baths, it is recommended to add the catalyst to the
cold bath, as the last component and possibly only before application.

To formulate the application bath, it is recommended to work as follows:

a.- Dilute BAIFIX CEF in the maximum volume of water possible

b.- Add additives such as softeners, hardening agents, etc., preferably prediluted.

c.- Add the catalyst. We always recommend adding the catalyst preferably before using
the bath.

D.- If an optical brightener is used, it is recommended to add it after the catalyst.
