Itis not adjustable. The “S” shaped handle acts as a cam to release the belt tension. Belt Changing- Pull down on the “S” handle, slide the belt off and replace, If upper yoke seems to stick, it will come down by squeezing the belt front to back with your fingers. Belt Tracking- The upper pulley being moved back and forth controls belt tracking. The knurled knob at left side of pulley controls this. Platen- the platen is steel and can be reversed in case of wear. Always keep the table within 1/8” of the belt. Always wear eye protection when using this machine. Always tie back or cover long hair. Never wear loose fitting clothing or gloves when using this machine. ‘Always use abrasive belts designed for wet operation, Dry belts will stretch and not track correctly. Coolant- always use a coolant with a rust inhibitor to prevent corrosion, Choose the coolant that best suits the job. Maintenance- Wet machines need constant cleaning. ALWAYS wash down the machine's wet tray and clean out pump tank after use. Leaving old coolant and swarf in the machine will corrode the ‘machine and shorten bearing life. Keep v-belts tensioned properly. 14” of slack is adequate.
