Look at the pictures. What do you think is rewarding about each job?
Use the phrases to describe the work they do.

Satisfying work
Complete each sentence with the correct form of the
verb. Both options may be possible in some sentences.

Satisfying work
Work in small groups. Talk about your job or a job you’d like to have. Explain what
satisfaction you get or would get out of it. Compare your thoughts with your
partners’.
Use gerunds and infinitives after adjectives, nouns and pronouns.

As a hairdresser, I get satisfaction out of making


people feel good about themselves. I feel that I
can make a difference in their lives. It’s not
always easy to get things right, but when I do, it’s
really rewarding.

Think about the factors that influence what you buy.
Which factor has the most influence on your decisions?
Which one has the least influence? Why?
