Jonathan shared the bed with his younger brother Cain. One night, Jonathan had a
dreadful dream. As he struggled, he punched the nose of his brother Cain and it bleeds.

* The question: Is Jonathan accountable for what he did to his brother? Yes or No?
Justify your answer.

> No, because he didn't punch his brother in the nose on purpose. He did it because he was
having a nightmare. We can't hold someone responsible for what he did while he was sleeping.
According to the Sleep Foundation Organization, what Jonathan did can be classified as REM
sleep behavior disorder, in which someone engages in sleep talking, screaming, hitting, or
punching.

*Is the action of Jonathan considered human acts or acts of man? (5 sentences)

> Jonathan's actions can be classified as acts of man because they occur outside of his
conscious awareness. He did it without his consent, against his will, and without his knowledge.
He has no idea what he has done when he punches his brother. People who are asleep, or
under the influence of hypnosis, alcohol, or drugs, can be considered acts of man, according to
Jan Kevin Mendoza's philosophy. However, the will has some control in this case, but it bears
indirect responsibility.
