WHAT IS WORK IMMERSION?

Work immersion is an educational program that

provides experience like us students with the
opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in
a professional work environment. It is typically
offered as part of vocational or technical education
programs, but it can also be incorporated into other
educational settings.

During work immersion, we are able spend on a

designated period of time, such as a few weeks or
months, working in a company or organization
related to their field of study. The aim is to expose
students to real-world work situations, allowing them
to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired
in the classroom to actual work scenarios.

COMMENTS/FEEDBACK:
Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic has a profound impact on
every part of our life. Our lives were drastically changed now.
The outbreak has brought forth a number of difficulties in the
new normal. One of them is the minimal degree of social
engagement. In the past, you could always mingle and talk to
individuals to learn more details. The numerous health
regulations and standards that must be followed caused by
these pandemics also had an impact on job immersion. There
wasn't much interaction because the majority of pupils were
only placed in locations that were within their municipality and
some were only involved in activities that took place at home
for safety concerns.

MY REFLECTION:
For students such as me, immersion in the workplace is quite
advantageous. Since it's a real training, it expands my
knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance. I get to
learn by doing with this practical chance. Through practical
training, Work Immersion prepares students like me for life in
the real world. Through exposure to and familiarization with
the work environment relevant to our field of expertise,
immersion aids in the ongoing development of our competence
and skill set. We put all of the skills and information we had
acquired at school to use. We acquire new abilities that will
help us land jobs in the industries of our choosing. We also
develop social skills, particularly in relating to supervisors and
fellow employees.
