RLX Floodlight conformity

A general guide to choose Luminell RLX floodlight.

Step 1: What is being illuminated?

It’s always beneficial to have an idea of the application. Typical questions to ask:
- What is being illuminated? Deck area, the ocean, an object, flame tower etc.
- What is the purpose of the illumination? Working area, walkway, rescue zone, CCTV area etc.
- What’s the mounting height and distance to the illuminated area?
- Which lux levels are required? 50lux, 100lux, 300lux etc.

Step 2: Are we replacing existing floodlights?

- Which floodlights are we replacing? HPS, Halogen, LED etc.
- Don’t get too focused on replacing 1:1 compared to lumen values, ref Step 1.

Step 3: Choose a floodlight that solves the challenge in a best possible way
- Try to answer most of the questions above
- Use the tables below, lux calculator on Glamox website and colleagues with experience.

FL/FX60
The FL/FX60 floodlights is a modular concept consisting of 40W modules with apx 4.500lm light output. These can be
replaced as recommended in table below.

FL70
The FL70 is 240W floodlights with apx 27.000 lm light output and very identical beam options to the RLX. The natural
replacement is the RLX D G3 240W in respective beams, see table below.
