RECOMMENDATIONS

To: Davies-Miller’s CEO

From: Head of Human Resources
In the first time, it is important to know the causes of work-related stress because this makes it possible to
identify and address the factors that contribute to stress in the workplace. By addressing the causes of work
stress, working conditions can be improved and workplace stress reduced.
Work stress not only affects the mental and physical health of employees but can also affect productivity
and work performance. Work stress can make employees lose focus, feel unmotivated and less productive.
In addition, untreated work stress can lead to work absences, low morale, and high employee turnover.
For this reason, the management team met on January 20, 2024, to discuss ways of dealing with stress in the
company. The following recommendations were made:
In the short term:
 Setting boundaries: It is important to set clear boundaries between work and personal life to prevent
work stress from crossing that barrier.
 Prioritizing tasks: Organizing and prioritizing tasks helps manage time more effectively, which can
reduce stress.
 Taking regular breaks: Taking small breaks during the day can help relieve stress and increase
productivity.
 Practice deep breathing: Deep breathing can reduce stress levels and improve mental clarity.
 Establish a daily routine: A daily routine can help reduce the uncertainty and anxiety that often
accompany stress.
In the Long term:
 Encourage open communication is essential to reduce work stress.
 Create a good environment: where employees feel safe to express their concerns and opinions.
 Hold regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback and support.
 Establish effective communication channels, such as suggestion boxes or anonymous feedback
systems, so employees can voice concerns without fear of retaliation.
 Set clear expectations: Unclear job expectations can lead to stress and anxiety in employees.
 Provides support and resources: Provide training programs in stress management and coping
techniques.
 Promotes a positive working environment: Cultivates a positive working environment where
respect, collaboration and recognition are valued. Celebrate the achievements and contributions of
employees.
 Conduct occupational risk assessments: Conduct workplace risk assessments to identify areas
where employees experience high levels of stress and take steps to mitigate those factors.
 Promote professional development and growth: Provide training and development opportunities
that allow them to acquire new skills and advance in their careers.
