Scope of Work

We are installing Cisco switches at multiple IDF cabinet locations for Costco. Attached to the work order will be
the Runbook, Signoff, New VLAN sheet, and eventually the Old VLAN sheet. The Old VLAN sheet will be
attached the morning before the installation. The Technician will work with the Work Order Manager (FMO in
Runbook) to contact the Network Support team while on site.

Steps:

1. Check-in with the work order manager (FMO)

2. Speak with the manager on-site, get access to the keys for the IDF cabinets, and verify inventory.

3. Go to the first rack and take Before Photos and begin labeling the cables without unplugging them.

4. Cables must be labeled with the Existing Port # and the VLAN from the Old VLAN sheet.

5. Example: Old Port # - Old VLAN (p9 - v150)

6. Once all cables are labeled, validate with the FMO that we are ready to uninstall the old switch(es).

7. Remove the old switch(es) and install the new switch(es) being careful to only plug the power into
switch 1 and installing stacking cables when needed.

8. Work with the FMO to confirm switch connectivity prior to plugging in any cables.

9. Once all switches are verified online, then plug in the network cables by VLAN, taking care to load
balance when necessary.

10. Start with port 48 and work back to port 1

11. Work with FMO to validate all devices are back online.

12. After all networked devices are online, take after photos, clean up the area, and get ready to move on
to the next rack.

13. Follow steps 3-9 for the next rack.

14. After all new switches are installed, bring the old switches to Receiving to leave at RTV.

15. Work with the manager to test and sign off on the sign-off document.

16. Confirm with the FMO that all photos have been received. Once confirmed the Technician is set to
check out and leave the site.
