Introduction

Line up – is the repertoire, list of praise and worship songs to be sung

- 30 mins – 2 praises, 2 worship songs:

Intent (goals)

1. Synchrony of the list of spiritual songs chosen to be sung on Sunday service

- it means that the message of the chosen songs are in common especially relative to the teaching or
sermon on Sunday service
2. Determine the family of chords or guitar run of each songs chosen are relative to the melody and rhythm as
a whole.
- if not, TRANSITION has to be made from major chords to minor chords
- without proper transition spirit of worship is lost
- raising voices without a transition to higher chord – spirit of worship is lost
- it means – wala sa tono ang boses at ang instrument
- need na may proper coordination of lead musician and singers to maintain the spirit of
worship in the congregational singing
To achieve these intent (goals) – this event today of MUSIC MINISTRY ENHANCEMENT of Tips in making
Line Up is being conducted today for an effective and workable praise and worship songs to be sung on
Sunday Service

Line up of praise and worship songs should be in:

I. PATTERN TO THE TEACHING?PREACHING OF THE PASTOR

- Mahalaga po na itanong natin kung ano ang tema o series ng sermon ni pastor. Kahit may series na alam,
tanong pa rin natin baka may nais isingit na ibang tema niya
- Q: Why it should be patterned?
- ANS: remember always that the pinaka-highlight ng Sunday Service ay ang preaching of the word of God
- Kung sa boksing event; may iba pang mga undercard events prior or in preparation to the main event or
highlight of the fight.
- Ibig sabihin ay parts of church program are preliminaries to create environment of worship
- Every part of church program during Sunday service is a preliminary to prepare heart of worship including
music team until the highlight of worship to listen to word of God
- Hindi ibig sabihin na Music Ministry
- ay siya lang ang may karapatan sa heart of worshippers to listen to the preaching of God’s word
- Aksaya lang ng oras ang iba pang parts of church programs
- Binanggit ni bishop calangian ang FALSE WORSHIP NO. 1 na worship of emotion na ayaw sa ibang parts of
church programs na nadagdag lang ito sa worship service. Hindi ito nakaka-enhance sa Music Ministry.
- The worst is after performance, Music Ministry ayaw making ng salita ng Diyos
- PERFORMER LANG o tagatanghal lang ng entertainment ng mahabang oras sa praise and worship but not
entertaining the word of God in the personal heart
- Kung natatamaan man ng salita ng Diyos ayaw kumilos magperform sa conclusing song…
 - Gumagawa tayo ng line-up na pattern sa teaching at preaching ni pastor – dapat this list of songs ay pattern
din natin in the heart of our worship-the Kiss of God’s word in our heart despite sweet or sour to our ears
- If the Kiss of God’s word is only in our ears-this is what we call an itching ears listeners- worshipping Jesus in
vain only in our lips singing but far from our hearts (Binaggit kanina sa Matt 15:8-9)

na worship or self na performer lang na binanggit ni Bishop Calangian. Hindi ito nakakaenhance sa Music
Ministry. sa concluding song ay hindi nakapwesto, inaantay makapwesto, hinahanap pa yung conclusion
- song . Worship of self is creating dull moments in the church. Hindi nakakaenhance lalo na kung doon na sa
pinakahighlight na pagsamba sa church..Worship of self destroys true worship in the church
- Sa hamon kanina ni Bishop Calangian-matakot tayo dito dahil itatanggi tayo ng Panginoong Jesus at ituturing
tayong walang kwenta sa FALSE WORSHIP NO.3 NA ITO.
 Kaya kung ayaw nating walang kwenta tayo sa harapan ng Panginoong Jesus, pakinggan ang triple
mensahe ng Tip no. 1 na ito para sa the music team!

3 Messages of line-up of worship songs to MUSIC TEAM:

1. Worship of our singing lips open the worship of ears to listen to God’s word.
2. Worship of our ears opens the worship of heart to accept God’s word whether sweet or sour.
3. Worship of heart KISSES the true worship of God’s word in the bottom of our heart – talagang nakahiga sa
sabsaban n gating puso.

II. PREPARED AND FLEXIBLE DISCIPLINE

A. Preparation and Practice

Natural na mayroong practice at the church line-ups para smooth, sweet, and satisfactory ang execution during
Sunday service..
-may coordination-alam ang mga senyal ng drum beats, bagsak ng gitara- na may timing ang pasok ng song
leaders.
-nagprepare kayo ng husto, observe punctuality in practice – pero in the middle of the worship, drum beats,
bagsak ng gitara naku nalalate timing …singers o alanganin pumasok .Or vice versa …
Tama drumbeats, bagsak gitara; singers, nalalate pumasok or no presence of mind … paulit-ulit bagsak guitar,
drum beats ayaw pumasok.
- Hindi nakakaenhance ang unpreparedness or no coordination to give the most delicate true worship of God!
- Kaya nakakaenhance preparation, practice and discipline that must be maintained and most especially the
execution of those preparation and the practice must be smooth and satisfaction during Sunday service.
B. Flexibility in a twist
- Wow perfect ang preparation and practice in the line-ups …
- Pero naku may SUDDEN TWIST may gustong idagdag o baguhin o request si pastor na ipaawit na hindi
napraktice.
- Dito na papasok ang WORSHIP OF EMOTION (na complaining emotion- reklamador na damdamin) Yan ang
problema kay pastor … Tapo namimirsonal na dinadaan sa sermon … siya ang may problema. Justification …
- Yan ang hirap kay pastor pabigla-bigla!
- Bakit ipapaawit yan hindi napractice
- Matigas na ayaw sumunod, sudden na request niya ay ayaw sundin. Kaya, reklamo pa more!
- Ibig sabihin nito nawala na ang Core Value na HUMILITY…na deceive nan g PRIDE..
- Submission or obedience NAGIGING KOMPETINSIYANG DAMDAMIN .Tinuturuan si pastor puntahan kayo,
kausapin kayo at hingi ng sori.Kung hindi ay lalong dumugo ang problema na sisihin si pastor.
- Katunayan ay hindi ang problema ay si pastor..and problema ay walang tip na flexibility and Music Team.
 - RESOLUTION: tip of flexibility discipline in line ups nakakatulong or nakakaenhance
- Ibig sabihin ay maging prepared atflexible sa sudden twist na additional na unpractice song, change
requested song under the core value offruit of Spirit na HUMILITY na gawin ito to the best of the music team
they can.

III. PRINCIPLE OF SIMPLICITY

A. Easy to follow by worshippers

- Alam natin mga kapatid na sa inyong mga music team ay may highly anointed songs that you prefer
personally.However, ang awit na yan ay malalim ang message ng lyrics at mga guitar chords niya ay mga
naku complicated, broken chords pa
- At ipilit natin ipaawait ito dahil it suits our personal preferences sa Sunday worship .Result, Music Team lang
ang umaawit..
- Pero ang congregation ay tameme, walang worship dahil mahirap masundan at hindi maka-connect ang
worshippers
- Choose line-ups which are easy to follow by worshippers to maintain true worship
B. New Songs
- Kung bago ang awit lalo na English lahat ang lyrics, huwag lahat bago na English ang line up
- Nakakabigla po talagang hindi makakaawit congregation
- Follow the tip principle of simplicity to choose just one English new song to introduce
C. Tone of Voice
- Siguro medium range of voice sa mga song leaders ay so simple for congregation to follow
- Kung pinipilit mga song leaders tinaasan pa boses in the middle of the singing
- Naku mahihirapan sumunod ang worshippers resulting na mawala ang spirit of worship
- Follow the principle of simplicity of range of voice that makes really smooth, sweet and satisfactory true
worship
