Milestone Accomplishment:
Mrs. Venus A. Paye's Contribution to Service

Good qualities of a good teacher include skills in communication, listening,


collaboration, adaptability, empathy, and patience. I see these good qualities in our Master
Teacher Mrs. Venus A. Paye here in school, Jimenez National Comprehensive High School.
She is an effective Master Teacher and a very good leader in Mathematics which develops a
deep understanding of mathematical principles and concepts, her specific roles are the
following:
 developing and implementing a comprehensive mathematics curriculum that aligns
with educational standards and promotes student engagement and achievement.
 collaborating with teachers to provide professional development opportunities that
enhance their pedagogical skills and support their implementation of effective
instructional strategies.
 establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a
supportive and collaborative learning environment.
 introducing innovative teaching resources and technologies to enhance mathematics
instruction and facilitate student learning.
 Led and facilitated mathematics-focused meetings and workshops to promote
interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing among educators.
 Serving as a mentor and coach for mathematics teachers, providing guidance and
support to enhance their teaching practices.
 Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of mathematics programs and
interventions, and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Her responsibility is to oversee and coordinate mathematics education programs at the
school or district level. Their primary role is to support and enhance the teaching and
learning of mathematics. As for their accomplishments, it would depend on the specific
coordinator’s experiences and achievements. Generally, their accomplishments may include
developing professional development opportunities for teachers, analyzing student data to
inform instructional strategies collaboration among math educators, and promoting
mathematical literacy and achievement among students.
MTAP Program involves understanding the logical principles and logical connections that
support mathematical ideas and their applications. It helps mathematicians and learners
comprehend why mathematical concepts work the way they do, providing a deeper
understanding and appreciation of the subject.
Mrs. Venus A. Paye started to engage in the program in the school year 2014-2018.
The program provides opportunities for the professional growth of teachers, identifies
and recognizes exemplary teachers, encourages involvement in the development of
Mathematics Education in the Philippines, and identifies and motivates mathematically
gifted students, as well as regular students, toward the full development of their potential.
This achievement was also recognized by the DepEd Division of Misamis Occidental.
