DISADVANTAGES

Tourism is growing faster and faster becoming one of the most potential major in the world. It has been
recently considered whether the advantages of tourism outweigh its drawbacks. While some argue this
brings several benefits, I am of the opinion that it is overall detrimental .

This is predicated on the grounds that increasing the presence and use of cars, buses, trains, and other
vehicles, all of which may contribute to increased carbon emissions and a large number of flights at the
airport as well. Moreover, a huge inflow of tourists can gradually spoil the atmosphere and deplete the
beauty. A further convincing demonstration is shown when some tourists are showing disrespect and
misbehavior. It is a prime example of how they deliberately damage ancient ruins or historic sites, not to
mention how they throw garbage everywhere they go which degrades the environment. In Viet Nam,
Nha Trang Beach is currently very polluted, with garbage floating all over the coast, destroying the
landscape, polluting the water, and harming marine life. Many visitors come to the Temple of Literature
rubbing the turtle's head for good luck which leads to many smooth turtle heads. A possible solution to
this problem would be for the government to bring in new laws and restrictions on certain behaviors
such as giving out severe fines to people who drop litter and to those who attach to historic monuments.
Another solution is for people to be responsible for protecting the environment and contributing to
developing tourism

In conclusion, although tourism is positive to some extent, in my opinion, it has brought a host of
disadvantages. The economic development and employment fail to justify the discussed drawbacks,
namely social and environment

ADVANTAGES

Tourism is growing faster and faster becoming one of the most potential major in the world. It has
come under increasing concerns as many believe that the development of the tourism industry gives rise
to a myriad of other social and environmental issues. In my opinion, it has brought a host of advantages.

This is predicated on the grounds that tourism is a significant source of foreign revenue for the nation
and can thus aid economic development. Because tourists when visiting other countries or places spend
a huge amount of money on accommodation and other necessities of tourists. Indirectly, tourism-
related businesses are also a way to make a living for people. Providing food and equipment for
restaurants or hotels is an example. So it could be viewed to be hugely beneficial for job creation, aiding
in maintaining a stable jobs rate, which can help everyone have a better quality of life. What’s more, it is
also a way to conserve, propagate, and promote the natural environment, cultural assets, and traditions,
which they only know when going there. For example: many historic sites were rebuilt and restored. A
lot of tourists come to VN for its distinct national and regional specialties such as VN’s spring rolls, HN’s
noodles, or My Tho’s hu tieu. Traditional craft villages such as Bat Trang pottery making village in HN,
Dong Ho folk painting village in Bac Ninh, and Non Nuoc stone carving village in Da Nang
In conclusion, from all the reasons mentioned above, it seems that the merits of tourism are very
significant and it will continuously develop and improve if we join hands to make it grow in a healthier
way

DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS

Tourism is growing faster and faster becoming one of the most potential major in the world. It has
come under increasing concerns as many believe that this causes some drawbacks, while some argue
this brings several benefits. I will discuss both of these views.

It is understand why proponents subscribe to the notion that it is overall detrimental. The key rationale
behind this is the increasing presence and use of cars, buses, trains, and other vehicles, all of which may
contribute to increased carbon emissions. Additionally, advocates are claiming that a huge inflow of
tourists can gradually spoil the atmosphere and deplete the beauty. On top of that, some tourists are
showing disrespect and misbehavior. For example: they deliberately damage ancient ruins or historic
sites and throw garbage everywhere they go. In Vietnam, Nha Trang Beach is currently very polluted,
with garbage floating all over the coast, destroying the landscape, polluting the water, and harming
marine life.

Despite the aforementioned reasoning, there are some negatives of tourism as well. This is predicated
on the grounds that tourism is a significant source of foreign revenue for the nation and can thus aid
economic development. Because tourists when visiting other countries or places spend a huge amount
of money on accommodation and other necessities of tourists. Indirectly, tourism-related businesses are
also a way to make a living for people. So it could be viewed to be hugely beneficial for job creation,
aiding in maintaining a stable jobs rate, which can help everyone have a better quality of life. What’s
more, it is also a way to conserve, propagate, and promote the natural environment, cultural assets, and
traditions. A lot of tourists come to VN for its distinct national and regional specialties such as VN’s
spring rolls, HN’s noodles, or My Tho’s hu tieu. Traditional craft villages such as Bat Trang pottery making
village in HN or Dong Ho folk painting village in Bac Ninh

In conclusion, for all the reasons mentioned above. Although tourism are negatives to some extent, it
has brought several positives.
