This action should be done by 2 persons in order to 2

limit the risk that the spring arm goes up too fast
when the light head is removed from the spring
arm.
To remove a light head, the XLED® must be turned

1 / Unscrew the 2 screws from the plastic cover.
2 / Open the plastic cover with a screwdriver.
3 / Adjust the upper stop by moving from bottom to top the

6 / Prepare the 2 provided screws, cable jumper and the
plastic spacers.
7 / Install the jumper /screws / spacers on the bushing, be

careful of the way, and tighten the screws.
8 / Place the bushing on the yoke, be careful not to pinch

the cable, and make the holes for the screws match with
the holes on the yoke.

7 – REPLACING LIGHT HEAD BOARD
1 / Remove the 4 screws holding the plastic cover
Do not pull abruptly to avoid degradation on the
ribbon cable. 1
2 / Disconnect the ribbon cable with a small screwdriver.
3 / Disconnect the power supply cables by pressing the

white connectors. 2
Reconnect cable following identification on cable
and board (0V, 24V et CAN)
4 / Disconnect all the cables with black connectors (there

is no order to connect) unscrews the 3 screws holding the
card.
5 / Replace the card by the new one and refit the all the
parts.
6 / Set the same configuration as the old card on the

dipswitch.

8 – SETTING SCREEN PROTECTION +
REPLACING WALL CONTROL BOARD.
1 / Unscrew the 3 screws retaining the report card.

Be careful about the ribbon cable between the
card and the screen.
2 / Disconnect the ribbon cable by gently lifting the

small connector with a small screwdriver. 2
3 / Unscrew the 4 nuts holding the screen on the metal

part.
4 / Remove the seal that is around the window. Remove

glue residue with solvent.

5 / Peel off the protective film from the protective

sticker.
6 / Clean the screen and the protective sticker using a

clean cloth to remove all traces.
7 / Peel off the label on the metal plate and glue it on 6

8 / Paste the protective sticker on the metal plate.
9 / Replace the screen on the metal plate without

forgetting the 2 plastic screws.
Tighten until contact PLUS 1/8 turn more.
10 / Mount the new report card provided in the kit,

making sure the connection of the ribbon cable.
11 / Set the same configuration as the old card on the

dipswitch.
Tighten until contact PLUS 1/8 turn more.

handling the components inside the light head.

2/ REMOVE SPOT FROM LIGHT HEAD
1 / Remove gently the blue spot cover and disconnect

the wires attached to the distribution board (if present).
If no distribution board is present, disconnect the
connector.
2 / Remove the ULF screw of the middle of the pushing 3

rod in order to release the tilt command of the lens (if tilt
light head).
Before removing the spot, make sure the light

head is maintained (because when removing a
spot, you change the weight of the light head
and the spring arm will make the light head
moving up)
3/ Remove the spot of the lighthead after having

unscrew the 3 CHC screws and keep the gasket.

2 / Gently loosen those 6 screws using a Torx T9 screwdriver while taking care of

6 / By executing this procedure backward, you can reinstall a new LED module

1 / Fit the gasket on the aluminium cast in order to have the inner lip keeping it in
position.

and use a non-sharp tool in order to gently place the gasket on the edge of the

NOTA: for the screws in opened holes of the aluminum part, there is also a
locking washer.

10 – MAINTENANCE OF THE SECURING SEGMENT
1/ CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SECURING SEGMENT FOR

AC2000 SPRING ARMS
Check that the securing segment of the spring arms (dual and single) cardanic, is
at least 1.5mm thick and 9.5mm wide, and grease it (usual mechanical grease
could fit).
It must be replaced if the minimum thickness or width are not complied with.
See picture below.
Disassemble and check the securing segment for dual cardanic spring arm, please
refer to the chapter 7 – 3.
Disassemble and check the securing segment for single cardanic spring arm,
please refer to the chapter 7 – 4.

2/ CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SECURING SEGMENT FOR VALIA
SPRING ARMS
 Check that the securing segment of the dual cardanic spring arm, L21 /
MD21, is at least 1.8mm thick and 8.3mm wide, and grease it (usual
mechanical grease could fit).
See Fig 1 below.
 Check that the securing segment of the single cardanic spring arm LCH17,
is at least 1.8mm thick and 14.3mm wide, and grease it (usual mechanical
grease could fit).

During maintenance, securing segment should be lubricated with

Microgleit GP 360

The spring arm contains a powerful spring.

When the end device is dismantled, the spring
arm can suddenly jump up and may cause
serious injury:
 Before removing the end device, make
sure that the vertical lift of the spring
arm is restricted to the lowermost end
stop (horizontal position).
 Restrict the vertical lift of the spring

1 / Unscrew the sleeve securing screw M3 x

8mm (2) and push the ring (1) upwards.

spring arm (4), keeping it straightly aligned.
4 / To mount back the end device, carefully

move up the end device, straightly aligned,
insert the securing segment (3), push the sleeve
(1) downwards and screw the sleeve securing
screw M3 x 8mm (2) back in.

7 / Disengage the assembly connection with
the end device.
To mount back the end device, carefully

screw M4 x 4 mm (4). Mount back the 2 half

1. Software upgrade of the system:
Before updating a system, it is necessary

to make sure that the system is fully functional
and that there is no error in the service menu.
1 - Unzip the V3.02 package at the root of the USB

stick.
USB stick should be in FAT32 format.

2 – Connect the USB stick into the USB connector of

the XLED wall control.
It is not necessary to turn off the XLED before

connecting the USB stick.
3 – Once the USB stick is connected, the transfer of

the software starts automatically
This transfer may take a few minutes.

Do not remove the USB key.
4 – Once the transfer is complete, the update of the

various cards of the system starts.
Depending on the number of installed light head in the

system, the number of lines on the screen may vary

6 – The system restart on its own. Check in the service

menu the software versions installed, and there is no

NOTE: The light head board as well as the wall control

board have a software version V3.02. The rectifier

During a system update or during a first

installation, one of the 3 following messages can

The causes of these errors may be:

 A card that did not update properly.
 System shutdown while updating.
 USB stick damaged or the update file

II Conséquences / Consequences :
La version software des cartes électroniques (carte coupole et carte report de commande) contenues dans les
configurations XLED température de couleur variable et blanche est la version V3.02 qui modifie les
fonctionnalités suivantes :
 + Possibilité de gérer 2 caméras coupole (si montage avec 2 suspensions distinctes).
 + Possibilité d’afficher sur le report de commande mural les différentes températures de couleur.
 - L’éclairage d’ambiance des coupoles n’est plus réglable.
The software version of the electronic boards (Light head board and control board) contained in the variable
color temperature and white XLED configurations is version V3.02 which modify the following features:
 + Ability to manage 2 inlight cameras (if mounting with 2 separated suspensions).
 + Ability to display on the wall control the different color temperatures.
 - Ambient light of the light head is no longer adjustable.

référer à la PSAV 18-001 afin d’effectuer une mise à jour d’un système si nécessaire.

III Compatibilité des différentes versions
Les coupoles ayant une version software antérieur à la version V2.00 ne peuvent pas être
mise à jour avec la version V3.02 => Seul un Changement de la carte report devra être envisagé
Il n’est pas obligatoire de mettre à jour en V3.02 les systèmes ayant la version V2.00, tant
qu’une coupole en V3.02 n’est pas installée (cas d’un changement de coupole par exemple ou
de la carte coupole).
Avant de mettre à jour un système il est nécessaire de s’assurer que le système est
complètement fonctionnel et qu’il n’y a pas d’erreur dans le menu service.

Note : 1 Clé Allen US taille 0.050 est nécessaire / disponible sous la ref V607205144 en cas de besoin.
 Vérifier que la version soft du XLED est V3.03, sinon faire la mise à jour du système en suivant la procédure
décrite dans la PSAV 18-003
