The advancement of technology has brought about significant changes in technology
use, but it has also brought about significant changes in shopping habits. Before technology
was used, individuals would shop at malls for a portion of their holiday vacation. A
purchasing activity that is done in both businesses and malls is shopping. However, as times
change, more and more businesses are being encouraged to use technology to advance their
operations. Online purchasing was thereafter introduced gradually. The act of buying online
entails using an internet connection to make purchases of products and services.
Although both are set in different places, there are still some similarities between
shopping in malls or stores and online shopping. The first equation, both are related to the
availability of goods in each store. For example, mall stores will certainly sell and offer some
of the same items on their online shopping pages. For example in souvenir or gift shops, of
course the shop will also offer some of the same items on their online shopping page.
Likewise with online stores, they will also certainly offer items that are on the online
shopping page in their offline stores. The second similarity is regarding the diversity of goods
and services provided by the two stores. If consumers choose to shop at the mall, it will
certainly make their eyes with various types of goods or products provided. Starting from the
cheapest product prices to expensive product prices. Similarly, with online shopping,
consumers will also be pleased with various types of attractive products at low prices, to
expensive prices.
Besides the two similarities mentioned above, there are many differences between
shopping at malls and online shopping. Both have distinct location settings to start with. If
consumers decide to shop at the mall, they will have to travel a long distance and spend an
extensive amount of time. Compared to online shopping, consumers don't have to spend a lot
of money to buy fuel for their vehicles. Despite this, they are still required to pay a bit more
for the shipping costs of their products. If the product is in a distant location and needs to
travel for days.
Regarding the delivery process, of course the delivery of stores in the mall with online
stores is very different. Stores in the mall will not take much time to deliver products to
consumers. Unlike online shopping, where the delivery process is often constrained due to
the distance of the store or shopping center. Although both shopping activities have several
similarities and differences. Still, the fact is that in an era that is growing every time, of
course, online shopping activities remain an effective choice.
