Dear Sir,

Hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. From the newspaper of our locality, I was known the
fact that, in order to reduce the cost, our local council is deciding to shut down the sports and leisure
centre that has been running with great fame. I am writing this letter on behalf our community that will
face the consequences of the closing of the centre.

The sport centre is the place where I along with my friends play various outdoor games around the year.
It has been a part of our family recreation venue for more than a decade since its inception.

The leisure centre is not just a place of refreshment for us, the place is become an identity for our local
community. People of our neighborhood area also frequently come to visit the place in different major
events. Children of our area love the sports centre more than their house as they always find their
friends and same age children for playing favorite games.

If the council stick to its decision regarding the sudden closing of the centre, our community will fall into
a deep crisis for the need of a field. People of all ages use the centre for different purpose and so
everyone of our locality will face the negative impact of the loss.

I would request the the council to rethink the decision and consider the positive impact of the centre in
our people over the cost of centre. We will happy to do any contribution to protect the place for the
benefit of all. I would like to thank the council for the considering my request.

Answer:

Newspaper and TV stories frequently use pictorial presentation of news and it was widely believed that
pictures are more appealing than mere words. I also have the similar thinking in this regard. This essay
will provide more insights on the issue.

The first reason for this belief is that people of all ages and background can easily and quickly
understand the picture. Information present with the help of image form is great way to provide difficult
data. For example, during the sports telecast, a viewer who cannot understand the written information
can read the pictorial comparison and statistical data easily. Even a kid can also describe the position of
a team at any particular point of time with the help of statistical table.

Another strong point is that picture can provide more detail information than a large content of words.
Any situation can be properly described with the help of one or two supporting pictures. Any news that
contents pictorial data carry more information. One example can be a description of a flood news,
unless the news is supported by an image of the affected area, reader can hardly visualize the situation
of the crisis. Basically, a picture can provide thousands of words information. That is why any difficult
news and topics on the books always supported by related pictures.

Though picture make is easy to understand the situation, wrongly presented picture can create more
hurdle. Sometimes, reporter criticized for their news because of the irrelevant pictorial presentation.

Rightly selected pictures make people understandable news stories easily, and also more information
than simply words can do.
