WRITING ABOUT A CHART: TELEPHONE CALLS

The chart shows the variation in the number of local, national, international and
mobiles calls in the UK from 1995 to 2002.

The general trends are, first the progressive and slow decrease in the use of fixed calls
and the rise in ----mobile calls during the last years of the study.

---- Local calls were the most frequent calls with a slow--- change during the period,
without big changes. The number of local calls increased discretely??? during the first
three years until reaching a peak in 1999 and then it started to descend. The national
and international calls increased steadily from 1995 to 2002
The rise in the number of mobiles calls was progressive and very significant during the
last year, in 2002, when the number of mobiles calls was very near the number of
landline calls.

In conclusión, we can see the growth in the number of mobile calls in the last decade,
while the number of fixed calls had decreased gradually.
