their learning. Additionally, this source organizes different materials that have allowed

students to perform better.

Reflection: I have used this resource to create my game set. It allowed me to understand how to

create games that aid students with dyslexia or reading difficulties. It also gave me ideas on

how to develop specific games that can enable students to learn interactively. I was also

able to see how my mentor implemented some of the strategies this source talked about,

which gave me more understanding regarding curriculum and teaching.

Reflection: I used this source to understand how to support students with learning difficulties and

create activities that promote supportive learning. This source influenced me to create

various games to provide variety. Additionally, I made sure to check in with the students to

make sure that my material made sense and did actually aid them.

Reflection: I used this source to understand what the “Change the Y to I Spelling Rule” is, and

gain insight on how I can teach it to the students. I was able to use their simple definition

of the rule in one of my games set pieces. This rule was specifically used in the bingo game

I created.

Reflection: I used this source to understand the “Doubling Rule” of the English language. I also

used it to understand effective ways to teach. Overall, this source allowed me to gain
understanding of the rule and how I can include it in my game. I implemented the doubling

rule in my game set by including it in the bingo.

schools have verified that this resource helps teachers teach students curriculum and

necessary skills in reading. In all, this source has been helpful to many and is credited as

many schools and teachers have verified its usefulness.

Reflection: The source supported the creation of my final product, as it allowed me to understand

the “Dropping Rule,” and it gave me examples of how to implement it in my game. The

source specifically gave a definition of the rule that was simple enough for students to

grasp and shared examples of words that they could understand and that are connected to

it. In addition, the way that the source gave tips on how to keep students engaged helped

me build a game that was fun for the children.

Additionally, it has helped many different public schools to create helpful tools.

Reflection: This source was used to help me understand the “Floss Rule” and how to implement

it in my game. The source not only gave me a simple definition of the rule, but it also gave

me a list of words that students can use to identify if the rule fits or not. This source also

helped me understand how to teach the rules specifically in a way that is easily

understandable by students.

Evaluation: The source is credible, as it gave proof of the functionality and included evidence of

the teaching style working. Not only did the source explain that dyslexia students learn

better in specific ways, but it also explained how you can learn to adapt for better learning.

This better accommodation included teaching kinesthetically and positively reinforcing

students.

Reflection: I used this source first to understand what dyslexia is. By understanding the learning

difficulty, I was able to accommodate the game to their needs. Additionally, I was able to

learn about different approaches to take so that if one strategy does not work, I can back it

up with another.

Reflection: I used this source to get an idea of how to create games for the students in my

mentor’s classroom. From reading this article, I was able to understand how to make

games engaging and good for learning. Specifically, I was able to understand how to

connect it to the curriculum and make it exciting for students to play.

Reflection: I used this source to better understand the six-syllable types. I also used some of the

example words for my game set. In addition, I took inspiration from the card set, as the

website created a card set-type game similar to what my mentor wanted.

created to allow children of all ages to excel in reading.

Reflection: I used this source for two of my games. I used the source specifically because it

included words that students with dyslexia may have difficulty learning, so viewing them

again and again can strengthen their memorization skills. I also used this source to

understand what dyslexia is and how to aid students with it.

want to aid their students. The source has additionally implemented curriculum-based

material into its free resources, which has helped many teachers and parents further aid

their students.
Reflection: I used this source to better understand some word rules. I was also able to use some

examples of words to use that fit the rules from this source. Additionally, I used this source

to get an idea of what to include in my game, as I needed to implement rules that the

students could benefit from.
