• In 1958 Ayub Khan declared Martial law in East
Pakistan to enslave West Pakistan.
• In 1966 with the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur
Rahaman
six point movement was lunched.
• In 7th December 1970 a general election was
held and Awami League won majority
• The picture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman giving a speech
on 7th March reshaped the history of Bangladesh. The speech is
“The struggle this time is a struggle for freedom, the struggle this time is.
Struggle for emancipation”
• On 25th March 1971, a massacre on Bengali
people took place by the Pakistani soldiers.
