TITLE: THE AWARENESS OF MENTAL HEALTH AMONG UNIKL MITEC STUDENT

2. BACKGROUND: Mental health issues among students have become a growing concern
globally, with rising instances of stress, anxiety, depression, and other psychological challenges.

3. PROBLEM STATEMENT: The current state of mental health awareness among students is
inadequate, leading to various negative consequences such as academic underperformance,
increased dropout rates, and long-term psychological distress.

4. RESEARCH PURPOSE/ OBJECTIVE:

1.To identify the level of awareness regarding the mental health of UNIKL MITEC Students.

2.To identify students’ preferences about mental health.

3.To find out the recommendation

5. Research Questions:

i) What level of awareness regarding mental health of uniKL Mitec students.

ii) What the student’s preference about mental health.

iii) What the recommendation for uniKL Mitec students from seeking help for mental health.

6. Questionnaire Draft/Interview Questions

i) How would you rate your current stress level? (bad,good,excellent)

ii) How do you typically cope with stress? (ex: exercise, talking to someone)

iii) Do you feel you have a strong support system in your life?

iv) How often do you engage in social activities with friends or family?

v) How familiar are you with mental health resources and support available in your
community?

vi) Is there anything else you like to share about your mental health or well-being?

vii) What the suggestion for students to seek help for mental health?

7. Significant of study

To overcome the mental health among students because it is crucial for fostering a healthy and
supportive learning environment . To helps students, improve their academic performance and
wellbeing because it can significantly impact a student’s academic performance, social
relationships, and wellbeing. By addressing mental health issues early on, we can help students
reach their full academic potential and live happier, healthier lives. Implement screening to
identify students at which risk for mental health problems.
8. SCOPE

Undergraduate in UNIKL MITEC, in December 2023 until January 2024

9. METHODOLOGY

Online questionaries using Google Form and analyse using Microsoft Excel
