 CONCEPTS

Good afternoon class, I will be showing you a sample of money I have and tell me if it is a bill, a
coin or a centavos.
Are you ready? Let’s begin.
Why do you think we need to know on how to read and write money?

Very good for the future purposes, you can use this knowledge when your parents required you to buy
something in the groceries store or maybe if you run your own businesses right?

 The Philippine money comes in bills and coins.


 You can write money in symbols and in words.
 Peso is the amount of digits written before decimal point.
 The symbol for the Philippine peso is ₱ (PhP).
 Centavos- are coins whose values are less than 1 peso. It is written in two digits after decimal
point.
 Decimal Point (.) – separates the Peso and Centavo.
