Planning Manager
Planning Manager
Provide overall planning, scheduling and technical management services to projects from planning to final execution /
completion of projects. Review documents and various reports to assess scope of work and resources required to
successfully complete project. Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to, developing time control
mechanism for projects, estimating and planning cash package, participating in estimating cash inflow and outflow
requirements, monitoring & reporting project performance, and/or other related activities as required.
1) LEADERSHIP and Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies,
MANAGEMENT procedures and work standard for the planning section.
Monitor and manage the operations and activities of projects to ensure
progress within program and budget.
Manage activities associated with project to avoid time delays
Direct engineers to prepare completion reports of projects and observe
milestones to report project performance.
Direct, supervise and evaluate staff, directly and/ or through multiple levels of
supervision.
2) PLANNING and Plan cash package and prepare activities duration and its logical relationship
ORGANIZATION for each project and identify critical path of activities.
Oversee reporting requirements and time effectiveness of projects, ensure
that procedures are being followed and assist in resolving problems which
require top-level input.
Participating in preparation of dynamic budgets(indirect cost and its relation to
time ) and activity based resource loaded schedule.
3) RESOURCE Review and check all unit details associated with project e.g. general
MANAGEMENT requirements, site construction details, concrete, masonry metal, equipments,
conveying system, etc.
Co-coordinate the work of subordinate staff and work effectively with other
departmental managers to ensure effective completion of work and
achievement of departmental targets.
4) OTHERS Review and verify staff / labor transfer and hiring documents to ensure
conformity against time schedule requirements and resolve issues in case of
negative variances.
Prepare detail time schedule, resource quantities histograms for labor,
materials, equipments, etc. and prepare work break down structure for
projects.
Direct and plan activities in a logical sequential manner making models of
critical path method to evaluate time each activity will take.
Review and study elements of client claim, analyze against projected time
schedule, prepare / modify time schedules in relation to claims, and obtain
approval as per policies and procedures.
Review and discuss time impacts, variation orders, requests for claims, etc.
and determine consequences they will have on projects.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS MEASUREMENT
Impact and Influence Measure the extent of impact and influence each claims and
variation requests will have on projects.
Total Productivity Measure (TPM) Measure the ratio of output to measure some and/ or all of
the resources used to produce the output.
e.g. Output per Worker, Output per filled Job, Output per
Hour Worked.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Minimum fifteen (15) years of diversified engineering experience including construction experience and at least
five (5) years at senior managerial level.
Fluency in English and Arabic language.
Essential hands-on Computer skills.
