if thoughts were my minions

If the thoughts that haunt me every night

could escape to the world of living things
They'd find your window with first light
and mix with sun rays daylight brings

Thus sneaking through your window and

silently climb into your bed
Gently caressing soft skinned hand
and laying by your sleepy head

They'd whisper words I dare not speak

of love your heart never returns
of how you make my knees go weak
and of this fire that inside me burns

Of how my heart skips beat by beat

every time you say my name
emotions tucked so nice and neat
like pawns upon this lover's game.

They'd speak of how for you I'd die

to slay the demons of your past
And run into the twister's eye
to hold you in my arms at last.

If thoughts were my minions so they'd act

on orders given straight and true
to honor this evil blood-signed pact
they'd swiftly make their way to you

and finally steal a single kiss

and lay it in these arms of mine;
there's nothing more I wish than this:
to love you till the end of time.
