Devices That Can Be Used To Overcome
The Limitation Of Sight

Scanning Electron Machine

An instrument that produces a largely magnified
image by using electrons instead of light to form
an image. A beam of electrons is produced at the
top of the microscope by an electron gun. The
electron beam follows a vertical path through the
microscope, which is held within a vacuum. The
beam travels through electromagnetic fields and
lenses, which focus the beam down toward the
sample. Once the beam hits the sample, electrons
and X-rays are ejected from the sample. Detectors
collect these X-rays, backscattered electrons, and
secondary electrons and convert them into a
signal that is sent to a screen similar to a
television screen. This produces the final image.
 Binoculars

Magnify faraway objects to make

them easier to see. To magnify is
to make something look bigger.
People use only one eye to look
through a telescope, but they use
both eyes to look through
binoculars. Using both eyes makes
faraway objects look more real.
 Light Microscope
An instrument for visualizing fine
detail of an object. It does this by
creating a magnified image through
the use of a series of glass lenses,
which first focus a beam of light onto
or through an object, and convex
objective lenses to enlarge the image
formed.
 Ultrasound Machine
An ultrasound scan is used to
examine internal body structures.
Ultrasound imaging sends out
(emits) high-frequency sound waves,
directed at the tissue being
examined, and recording the
reflected sound or echoes to create
an image.
 X-ray Machine
X-ray machines pass x-ray beams (a
form of ionizing radiation) through a
part of the body to produce images of
the tissue, organs, bones, or teeth
inside. These images allow healthcare
providers and dentists to see if there
are problems, like a broken bone or a
cavity.

Stethoscope
Helps physicians or healthcare
providers primarily to listen to the
sounds generated internally by your
heart, lungs and intestinal tract. It is
also used to check blood pressure.
 Loudspeaker
Standard output devices used with
computer systems that enable the
listener to listen to a sound as an
outcome. Some speakers are used once
they have been linked to a computer,
while others may be connected to any
type of sound system.
 Hearing Aid
Amplify sound through a three-part
system: The microphone receives
sound and converts it into a digital
signal. The amplifier increases the
strength of the digital signal. The
speaker produces the amplified sound
into the ear.
