Toolbox 04 - Alcohol and Drugs
Definition of Alcohol?
The four types of alcohol are ethyl, denatured, isopropyl and rubbing. The one that we know
and love the best is ethyl alcohol, also called ethanol or grain alcohol. It's made by fermenting
sugar and yeast, and is used in beer, wine, and liquor.
The possession or use of illegal drugs or alcohol in the workplace poses unacceptable risks for
safe, healthful and efficient operations. In addition, the possession, use or sale of illegal drugs
is a criminal offence and cannot be tolerated.
The direction and guidance from managers and Supervisors is of utmost importance to the
wellbeing of employees as well as the company.
