Name: Last Name, Given Name MI. Year & Section: BSEE 2B
Schedule & Room: 7:30 – 9:00 MW SELB 204 Group Set: Select group set
Instructor: Engr. Rue Lei A. Balicaco Date Performed: 1 January 2024

I. OBJECTIVE

 To be familiarized with the different dependent voltage and current sources.

 To simulate the operation of dependent voltage and current sources in complex network
circuits.
 To measure the voltages and currents of the different components in complex network
circuits using probes.

II. PROCEDURE

A. PROBE SETTING

1. Open the Probe Settings panel in the Place Probes Toolbar.

2. In the Appearance tab, change the appearance of the probes to the following styles:
a. Change the background color in to yellow green.

b. Change the Font into Arial.

c. Change the Font Style into Bold.
d. Change the Font Size into 9.

B. CURRENT-DEPENDENT VOLTAGE SOURCE

3. Place the necessary components and connect them according to the circuit shown in
Figure 3.1 and change their labels accordingly.

4. Change the values of the components as follows:
Value
Component
Set B1 Set B2 Set B3 Set B4
E1 250 V 240 V 230 V 220 V
R1 13 Ω
R2 6Ω
R3 8Ω
R4 24 Ω
R5 2Ω
R6 18 Ω

5. RUN the simulation.

6. Add a voltage probe and a current probe.
7. Only show the dc voltage, V(dc) or dc current, I(dc), and change the precision to 10.
8. Place the voltage probe at a node. Copy and paste this voltage probe and place them
to the other nodes. Change the names of the probes accordingly.
9. Place the current probe along a resistor. Copy and paste this current probe and place
them to along the other resistors. Change the names of the probes accordingly.
