Nowadays, students should be given many assignments to make sure they

understand what they have learned. In this essay, I am going to write about the
good and bad side of this topic.

The first benefit is to develop student’s self-awareness. Assigning homework is a

great way to practice self-awareness in students. For example, when teachers
assign homework, students will learn and do exercises completely based on their
self-consciousness, thereby forming their self-awareness. Another benefit is
limiting the time which they spend on their phones and TVs. Homework not only
helps students have better study habits but also helps them avoid smart electronic
devices like phones, iPads, or TVs. For example, if there isn’t any homework, they
will spend a lot of their time on phones or TV and that will affect their health
badly.

Besides that, there are also some drawbacks. The first weakness is reducing
student playtime. If too many study tasks are assigned, students do not have time
to have fun and entertain themselves after school. This can cause may bad effects
both physical as well as mental for students. Another weakness is reducing the
time for family. Because students are too busy with homework, they can not
spend time talking with their family after or before meals. Therefore, it makes
them more and more distant from their own family.

In conclusion, when I write about giving a lots assignments to students, I think

there are more disadvantages.
