LESSON

BOOTING may be a start-up sequence that starts the Operating System of a

computer when it's turned on. A boot sequence means where the CPU completes the
original series of operations when turned on.
Every computer has a boot sequence. A machine must load an OS into the central
memory or random access memory (RAM) of the device to boot (as a verb; often, "to
wake up"). Once the OS is loaded (and, for instance, on a PC, you see the initial
Windows or Mac desktop screen), it's ready for users to run applications.

A common use of a bootable USB flash drive is to use it else into Windows. Booting
from removable media like a USB drive allows you to perform diagnostics on a
computer that's having trouble booting from the disk drive.

Difference between Cold Booting and Warm Booting

 A Cold boot normally does nothing but resets the hardware completely, and
reloads the operating system.
 A Warm boot, on the other hand, refers to the boot process in which a system
regains its initial state without hampering the power source.
Having a bootable USB is extremely essential, especially if you're a Netbook user.
Using bootable USB to install an operating system (OS) not only makes the
installation faster but also saves a DVD. Creating or using a USB drive to put in
Windows operating systems are extremely easy if you follow the below-mentioned
steps.
