Dear Sir/Madam,

Due to heavy rains, the Kenya life saving federation have declared flooding as a major disaster that have
caused deaths and drowning in Kenya. Drowning has claimed over 365,000 of innocent people annually
from commonwealth countries, majority being learners under 18years of age.

I light of the above, the Life Saving Federation (KLF), Has Been Teaching School Going Children
Swimming Safety Skills In Aid Of Drowning Prevention.

We Therefore Appeal To All Swimming Teachers And Coaches To Adopt Our New Way Of Promoting
Water Safety Among Our School Going Children. The Initiative Will Go a Long Way in Reducing Drowning
Mortality with Increased Knowledge On rescue Skills and First Aid.

Starting June 8th we will be conducting water safety and First Aid program at brook shine school where
we will charge 2000 for lessons practical, theory and certificates for the participant will be awarded.

Kenya Life Saving Federation (KLF) is a non Governmental body registered under NGO’s board of Kenya.
The main objective of Kenya Life Saving Federation is to advocate for water safety and drowning
prevention through training, public awareness sensitization and participation in framework and policy
making.
