Purpose - The purpose of these sport magazines that I am doing is to create awareness for
a wide range of sports and to keep the readers engaged all year round. It is crucial to use a
wide range of sports to keep everyone interested in the magazine and to get the best
feedback from the audience. The fans want to see the best content and they will get that in
this magazine with a wide range of feature articles from present / past heroes, to quizzes
that you can win prizes with.

Target audience - The target audience that I intend to target will be sports fans over the age
of 11 because it is an inclusive magazine that gets everyone involved, with a lot of different
sports that will be used to keep everyone interested and make them want to buy the
magazine.

Style - The magazine style that I have chosen is informative for people to pick up the
magazine and to get them engaged when they see the front cover. It is also there to give the
fans a background story of some players and to keep them interested when it is the long
off-season and for the club to make some more money. There will also be a lot of
photographs to show off the players and coaches to the fans and to see how they are like at
the training ground. I also will use formal language and standard English so it is easily
readable to the younger audience. I will also use terminology that for example Rugby
League fans will be familiar with such as ‘High Tackle’ or ‘Penalty Try’
