DESCRIPTION :-
Setup meticulously designed as per SAE J406 MAY 85 AND BS 4437 1969, ASTM Cater for exact Jominy
Test requirements.

This consists of three parts: -

A. Two Head Quenching Fixture material SS

B. One Special Vertical Furnaces.
C. chiller to maintain temperature.
D. Standard Accessories.

A. Quenching Fixture made with stainless steel material is motorized fixed Individually to Two Head
for constant delivery/circulation of water and does not require any tap connection.
There are many critical specifications apparently citing simple, demanded by Jominy standards
that are met perfectly in this model.

B. One Specially designed Vertical Furnace helps quick transfer of the specimen to the quench
fixture. One can test three specimens at a time that are placed vertically in a Jominy mould ( S S.)
intern and are housed in S S. Fixture. This helps avoid decarb of the specimen near to its quenched
end thus avoiding deepening of the initial portion of graph / Jominy Curve.

Furnace is supplied with an PID controller for maintaining the required temperature for jominey
application, in its control panel, limiting the overshoot of set Jominy temp. That normally occurs in
conventional laboratory furnaces, maintaining the accuracy of temperature control as per the
standard.

modifications. The machine requires a Stabilized Power supply and in case of any fluctuation the
electronic parts may malfunction or fail. It is advised to have a power stabilizer of suitable rating.
Important Note: Machines should never be placed near chemical/salt spray fumes to avoid
Corrosion/damages.
