Set up G/L Account Hierarchies for Allocation

To support the period

end cost allocation
process, two G/L
account hierarchies
will be created to
group relevant
accounts together.
One hierarchy
contains the G/L
accounts which will
later be allocated
from an auxiliary
building maintenance
cost center to a
receiving cost center
group using the
statistical key figure
square meters. The
second hierarchy
contains the G/L
accounts for which
the number of phone
connections is used
as statistical key
figure to allocate
telecommunication
costs.

In the following steps,

you will use the
manage global
hierarchies tile to
create the first G/L
account hierarchy.

1. To open the app,

select the Manage
Global Hierarchies
tile.

3. To select a type,
open the list.

4. Choose G/L
Account Hierarchy.

5. In the Hierarchy
ID field, enter
CEG1001.

Accounts.

7. Choose YCOA.

8. In the Hierarchy
Description field,
enter Cost Element
Group 1.
