Electric High-Speed Centrifugal Atomizer


User manuals
I. Product introduction
I. Summary
Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is new product with mechatronics
designed and manufacture by our company, with power from 0.25~30Kw, rotational
speed is 10,000~40,000 r/min, and rotational speed is stepless adjustable. In operation,
it has uniform spray particle and good atomization effect. It is widely applied to
medicine, food, building materials, chemical industry, ceramics, electron,
environmental protection and industrial humidification, etc. and is ideal matching
products with centrifugal spray drier, environmental waste gas treatment equipment
and high speed centrifugal mechanical equipment, etc.
II. Features
1. Low temperature rise, high reliability and stable performance. Special cooling
mode is used for electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer, and meanwhile can cool
temperature rise generated by electric motor and temperature rise of atomizer surface
generated by high temperature of drying room, which prolong the service life of
electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
2. The high-speed electric machine is used for driving atomizing disc for electric
high-speed centrifugal atomizer, which leaves out complex mechanical driving
structure, reduces mechanical loss and makes input power self-adjustment according
to loading condition of atomization. Consequently, energy consumption is 1/2~2/3 of
that of mechanical, 1/3 of that of pneumatic and the product has obvious
energy-saving effect.
3. Rotational speed is stepless adjustable. The international advanced frequency
control technology is used for electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer, so, rotational
speed is higher than mechanical and pneumatic atomizing spray head. Users can
select best rotational speed according to different operating mode requirements, such
as temperature, viscosity or others of dried materials.
4. Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer has compact structure, small volume
and low weight and the weight of same specification is 1/3~1/5 of sprayer. It is easy
to operate, clean and maintain.
The above features of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer improve its
working performance and enlarge range of application.

Warning
 Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is high-speed rotating machinery. In
the process of electric machine accelerating and rotating with high speed, the
atomizing disc is possible to be broken and fly out. Consequently, atomizing disc is
strictly prohibited from rotating under the circumstances of no safety precautions;
otherwise, it is easy to cause serious personal injury.
 Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is high-speed appliance. It is matched
with frequency converter for using, and is prohibited to directly connect with power
grid. Otherwise, electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer will be damaged.
 When frequency converter for driving is used, the built-in parameters of
frequency converter are needed to be set correctly. Otherwise, the electric high-speed
centrifugal atomizer will be damaged too.
 The rotational direction of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is
clockwise direction ofoverlooking atomizer. The reverse operation is prohibited;
otherwise, it will result in accident or personal injury.

 To use and maintain correctly is the vital guarantee to improve service life of
electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
 Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is precision machinery. It will cause
precision decline of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer to install and dismantle
rudely in any way, and reduce service life.
 Random withdrawal nut is the tool of disassembling atomizing disc. When
atomizer is in rotating operation, do not connect it to atomizing disc.

Notice
If error operation is conducted due to ignoring warning and prompting, it will
cause personal injury and property damage.

IV. Installation
1. The electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is installed in vertical direction.
Strictly prohibit inverting or keeping flat for using (except special requirements).
2. The electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer shall be installed on atomizing
cup (the size and shape of atomizing cup is manufactured according to size of drying
tower by users), and the contact surface between atomizer and atomizing cup shall be
added pad for sealing.
3. For electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer with fixed plug, the wiring method
is that pin 1, 2 and 3 is input end which is connected with frequency converter output
U, V and W separately, and pin 4 is ground pin.
4. In the process of installing electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer, it cannot
be beaten and crashed.
5. Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is high-speed appliance. Choose
frequency converter matched with electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer for using,
and correctly set frequency converter. The reference voltage, reference frequency
(maximum voltage frequency for corner frequency) and upper limiting frequency
shall be consistent with technical parameters of atomizer. (For details, please see
instructions of frequency converter)
6. The starting up tine and machine down time is not less than 30 s, otherwise, it
will cause the larger electric current for startup and shutdown, resulting in damage of
electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
7. Connect cooling water pipe and charge pipe. Check whether the cooling water
pipe is unobstructed, and ensure water pipe and charge pipe is not leaking. Cooling
water and feed liquid are prohibited entering inner of atomizer to affect normal
operation.
8. The atomizing disc of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is assembled
with principal axis. The contacting surface of cone hole shall be kept clean, and
contacting surface of conical degree is not less than 85%. In disassembling,
withdrawal nuts shall be used and it is forbidden to knock.

V. The Installing of Oil Eliminator and Dewaterer

(Reciprocating Cooling Atomizer Application)

1. To link up more than two oil eliminators and dewaterers to ensure the air clean.
2. The air inlet of oil eliminator and dewaterer connects with air pump, the air
outlet links up with atomizer. (The interface of atomizer locates above the rear cover)
3. Select air pump to match with the atomizer (0.6~0.8 cubic). Adjusting the
pressure of air to keep the pressure of air in 0.15~0.3MPa (also adjusting the pressure
level by pressure regulating valve on the oil eliminator and dewaterer).
4. Open the gas source and cooling water when using the atomizer at the same
time.
5. When using the oil elimination and dewaterer, you must orient vertically.
6. Check the water under the oil eliminator and dewaterer, if there is water, you
can loosen the lower screws to release the water and then tighten the screws.
7. You must check and discharge the water in the tank regularly during using the
air pump. The check method is to loosen the lower screws of air pump, if there is
water, you can discharge the water and then tighten the screws.

VI. Commissioning
1. After ensuring to device frequency converter correctly, you make frequency
converter work once in no-load condition. After confirming that no abnormal
condition, and then connect the electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
2. Use your hands to spin the main spindle of the electric high-speed centrifugal
atomizer, with fixable handle and no jam phenomenon.
3. Put through the cooling water.
4. Connect the power and start the frequency converter. Checking vibration and
sound is normal or not after normal operation.

VII. Operation

(Using on the centrifugal spray drying tower)


1. Dry tower preheat to batch heat.
2. Connect the cooling water to ensure cooling water flow smoothly into the
electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
3. Start the frequency converter.

4. Until the operation of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer is normal and
then put into dry material.
5. You can observe the electric current of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer
by the frequency converter, if current stabilization is normal.
6. When drying is complete, you should stop feed and then stop the electric
high-speed centrifugal atomizer.
7. When electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer stops working totally, you can
take out from the drying tower to the stent.
8. Turn off the cooling water.

VIII. Instructions
1. Touch the main spindle to rotate flexible before starting the electric high-speed
centrifugal atomizer and connect the cooling water and ensure cooling water without
impurities and flow smoothly.
2. After rebooting, once discovering unusual sound, please stop the machine to
check. Start it again when the faults are removed
3. Withdrawal nut with the machine is the tool of removing the atomizing disc.
When the atomizing disc is working correctly, please don’t connect atomizing disc to
rotate, otherwise, atomizing disc will be broken easily because of the increase of
vibration and noise.
4. Add the material when the electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer operates to
setting value. Don’t start the atomizing disc in adding material or add the material
before the rotate speed of atomizing disc don’t reach rated value in order to avoid
causing the electric high-speed centrifugal overload to damage.
5. When the user does not make clear demands for the rotation direction of
electric high-speed of atomizing disc, the rotation direction is overlooking the
atomizer disc (in front of the axis) to clockwise rotation, otherwise, it will have an
accident because atomizing disc spell nut is loosen. When the error of rotation
direction needs to change, you can change the three frequency converter output lines
into two lines.
6. Frequency converter displays an abnormality, you should cut load to check
frequency converter. If frequency converter is normal, please check the frequency
converter whether mans phase loss, short circuit, deactivation, poorly insulated and
other factors or not. When the faults are solved, the machine can be started.
7. Once electric high-speed of atomizing disc has the liquid into its inside, the
machine is stopped and checked it by professionals. When its wire wrap and
insulation resistance of shell should be greater than 50MΩ, do not open the machine
blindly.
8. When stator and shell insulation is bad because water leakage and electrolyte
leakage, main spindle, bearing and other elements is removed, and then bake the
stator and shell under 80℃.

direction of the arrow of component 5
and take out component 5 slowly.

IX. Care and maintenance
I. Dismounting method of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer
1. When cleaning lining plate thoroughly, firstly, disassemble atomizing disc with
withdrawal nut and then loosen screw with internal hexagonal wrench and
disassemble lining plate.
2. When the bearing is replaced or refueled and maintained, the disassembly
direction or sequence shall be considered. For disassembly sequence of electric
high-speed centrifugal atomizer of JGF -5KG~100KG model, see Fig I, and for
disassembly sequence of electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer of JGF200KG~2.5T
model, see Fig. II. The whole disassembly process is prohibited beating.
3. When reinstalling the bearing, it is assembled according to the reverse process
of original disassembly sequence. The sequential order and direction of bearing shall
be considered, and the sequential position of every pair of bearing cannot be adjusted.

III. Maintenance method
1. After Electric high-speed centrifugal atomizer works for 1,200~1,500 h, the
bearing needs to be cleaned and maintained. If the bearings are not used over 4
months, the bearing needs to be cleaned and maintained again in reuse.
2. The disassembled bearing uses more than 90# gasoline needs to be cleaned
after being soaked for 15 min, and the cleaning times is not less than 5 times. In the
process of cleaning, avoid rotating and breaking everywhere. After completing
cleaning, the bearing is wrapped with clean white paper. After it is dried in the air, add
high-speed lubricating grease for bearing.
3. Add appropriate high-speed lubricating grease, and avoid excess or modicum.
The grease shall be added into within raceway and the adding quantity can be
determined according to following relation.
Bearing grease volume (g) = bearing outside diameter (mm)  bearing width
(mm)  0.005.

4. Remove the chip and dust strictly in the motor in reassembling.
5. Angular contact bearing is used as atomizer bearing, the original assembling
form and position shall be kept. Otherwise, it is easily damaged.
6. The vibration and noise of the electric centrifugal atomizer will obviously
increase when the bearing is too old, i.e., at this time, the bearing must be exchanged.
The matching ofthe bearing with axis and the hole shall be noticed. in order to
guarantee the quality of assembling, the bearing with the same size shall be selected
to ensure the accuracy of assembling.
7. If you do not use the electric centrifugal atomize, you shall clear up the cooling
water in the waterways and inject anti-rust oil, to prevent waterway from being rusted
and blocked.

XI Warranty instructions
The product is warranted for a year from the date of delivery. The bearings of the
product can be warranted for 2,000 hours, but the product is repaired by payment in
the case of the following conditions, even during warranty period.
1. During warranty period, faults caused by dismentling, repairing and reforming
the product without the permission of the factory.
2. Damage caused by man-made or fault operation, not the problem of the
product itself.
3. The breakdown caused by exceeding the demand of technical data.
4. Damage resulted from rude carrying or transportation accident after purchasing.
