The Apolo cinema building is located in the central part of Sarajevo in the southern row of Mis Irbina Street. The cinema was built at the transition to modernity and
represents an achievement that was performed in the interior with pure linguistic Art Nouveau, while on the north facade there are noticeable elements of geometric
Art Nouveau. The analysis of the stylistic characteristics of the building concluded that it is a combination of two styles, modern and Art Nouveau. Until the end of
the Second World War, the original name of the cinema - Apolo - was retained, but during Yugoslavia, this cinema was also called Partizan, partisan films were
shown, and the name remained until the beginning of the last war in BiH. In 1965, the reconstruction of the building began, which was completed in 1967, and in that
time period, the third floor was upgraded. At the beginning of the 21st century, the last film was shown in the cinema and since then there have been no more
screenings in the cinema hall. Since 2014, the historic building of the Apollo Cinema has been on the Provisional List of the Commission to Preserve National
Monuments within the City Ambient Ensemble of Sarajevo. Today, the building houses the headquarters of the film house "Forum".
