1. What is the reason you chose this topic?

- We, as ABM students who aspire to own a business in the future, chose this topic
for us to find ways on how to maximize our use of social media to our advantage.
We want to adapt with technology’s rapid innovation to keep up with people’s
interest and convenience.

2. What is the Aim, Goal, or Objective of your research?


- Our main objective for this research is to correlate social media to the success of
businesses so that we would be able to persuade business owners to use social
media to their advantage of their businesses. We are also aiming to gain
knowledge about strategies or tips that are truly proven to be effective through
researching from the experiences of business owners that gained success
through social media marketing.

3. BOTS (What issues or problems caused you to propose this research?)


- The problem that we have observed that urged us to conduct this research is
when the pandemic occurred. Lockdowns were implemented and people were
limited to go outside, which resulted in business's profit and performances to
drop. Because of that, people became accustomed to online shopping even after
the pandemic ended. That is why we want to provide guidelines and seek ways
on how businesses would be able to adapt with this new way of purchasing and
be resilient when similar events were to happen again in the future.

4. SOP( Why have you chosen these questions?)


- We chose these questions because these are the problems that we want to seek
answers and solve.

5. THEORETICAL( what is the theory that you have used and why did you use it?)
- The theory that we have used is the Social Media Marketing Theory by David
Chaffey. We used this theory because it discusses how social media is a crucial
aspect of marketing that fosters customer engagement and generating
commercial value through interacting with them on platforms like websites and
blogs to promote products or services.

6. CONCEPTUAL (Why did you put these things in your I. P. O.?)


- We’ve put these in our I.P.O because Input consists of our SOP and what we’ve
put in the Process are the exact approaches that we will use to seek answers to
the questions we have used in our SOP. Then, the Output will be the gathered
information and answers of the effects of social media usage to the success of
business owners during the pandemic year to the current year 2019-2024.

7. SCOPE AND DELIMITATION(What is your subject matter, locale, population, and period
of the study? Why did you choose them?)
- Subject matter: The effects of social media usage to the success of business
owners
- Locale: Philippines
- Population: Business owners in the Philippines
- Period of the Study: Pandemic to Current year 2019-2024
- We have chosen these as our scope and delimitation since the issue and
answers that we want to seek is a timely and relevant issue.

study and why?)

10. What possible problems you might encounter upon accomplishing this study?
- The problems that we are seeing that encounter is when our target respondents
refuse to adhere with our request for them to share informations that we would
like to ask to them.
