OIL FENCE BOOM

OILFENCE BOOM is a lightweight rapid response boom that is

ideal for operations in ports, harbors, inland and coastal -
where a quick response is required.

MaviDeniz's OilFence type solid flotation booms offer

economical, well proven oil containment. Models range from
sheltered/calm waters, low current conditions through the
open water oil containment.

The highly flexible construction allows the OilFence Boom to

closely follow the wave movements with rise and fall as the water
level changes.
OilFence Boom is one of the most economically priced booms
available while still providing excellent performance and durability.
OilFence Boom is very simple to deploy can be used without any
special ancillary equipment.
OilFence Boom incorporates symmetrical closed cell foam floats
(HDPE) that allow the boom to wound up onto manuel or hydraulic
boom reels or packed into racks and containers.
Up to 500 meters of OilFence Boom can be stored on a reel. 250
meters can be deployed in less than 5 minutes without the use of
power or blowers.
OilFence Boom is manufactured in bright orange PVC coated
woven polyester. Handles are provided each ends along the top of
the boom.
The smooth profile of the OilFence Boom facilitates easy cleaning
after use in an oil spill.
The internal rods ensure the skirt remains upright in normal towing
conditions. The highly flexible construction allows the to OilFence
Boom closely follow the wave movements.
A full range of boom reels, racks, tote bags, anchoring and towing
systems are available to compliment OilFence Boom. Equally the
OilFence Boom can simply be supplied on skids for deployment by
hand.
OilFence Boom Reels can be provided in hand crank or powered
versions. Refer to our power section for appropriate hydraulic
power unit.
OilFence Boom offers the smallest storage volume of solid float
boom types, and can be stored on pallets, in containers, or on
boom reels. Systems incorporating storage / deployment boxes,
towing bridles, anchor systems and repair kits.
PVC coated galvanized Steel cable can provide additional tensile
strength for the boom. The added tensile strength makes this boom
suitable for some river deployment applications.
It is manufactured in 25 m standard sections, which can be
connected with galvanised, steel U-bolts or ASTM.
OilFence Boom is available in five different sizes and models.
