Should people shop at local businesses or online?

With technology and the internet becoming a more worldwide use for
everyone nowadays,people would rather shop their clothing items online.
Because of this, most local businessesare closing down due to few
customers. Is this beneficial or detrimental for our economy?On the one
hand, online shopping provides a variety of clothing items for the
customer and different websites that differ on price ranges. Furthermore,
the customer can find clothingitems that aren't available at local
businesses, even from unknown brands that are trying tomake it in the
fashion industry.On the other hand, at a lot of these online stores have
been sued for fraud, or sometimesthey have a delay on deliveries ranging
from weeks to months just to receive your package.It also has a negative
impact on our environment due to the packaging used and the gasfrom
delivery vehicles.

In conclusion, even though there is a convenience in online shopping, I

believe that there aretoo many disadvantages for clothing items that I
could easily obtain at a local business withless negative impacts on our
environment and without the risk of fraud.
