GRAMMAR - PRESENT TENSES


Present Simple – Routines, facts and repeated actions. E.g., I wake up at 6 a.m. every morning.

Present Simple + Stative verbs – like, love, think, understand, realize, hear, believe. E.g., I like pancakes. He doesn’t understand that.

Present Continuous – Actions happening now. It’s Saturday morning and I´m baking bread at the moment.

Present Continuous + Always – for something that happens often, usually in a negative way. She’s always chewing gum in class.

Adverbs of frequency – used before most verbs, used after the verb “To Be”.

E.g., They always go home early. I’m usually at home before 10 p.m.
