RIVERMAX BOOM / CONTRACTOR BOOM (SOLID FLOTATION)

Mavi Deniz's Rivermax type solid flotation booms offer economical, well
proven oil and trash containment. Models range from sheltered/calm waters,
low current conditions through the high current open water oil containment.

Mavi Deniz Rivermax Boom is a versatile, general-purpose boom designed

for use in many different spill response applications. The boom freeboard is
maintained with cylindrical foam floats. These floats offer a high degree of
wave conformance and reserve buoyancy in choppy or rough conditions.
Rivermax Boom is available in four different sizes. ( 1.000 mm / 750 mm /
500 mm / 250 mm )
An optional added top tension member offers additional tensile strength and
renders the boom more stable in fast currents. A heavy ballast chain is used
to ensure the boom skirt does not lift in fast currents.

Cylindrical foam floatation booms have a greater waterline beam, are more
stable, and offer more buoyancy and increased performance in rougher
conditions than fence type booms.
Rivermax Boom is one of the most economically priced booms available
while still providing excellent performance and durability.
Rivermax Boom is very simple to deploy can be used without any special
ancillary equipment.

Rivermax Boom is manufactured in bright orange PVC coated woven

polyester. Handles are provided approximately every 3 meters along the
top of the boom.
The smooth profile of the Rivermax Boom facilitates easy cleaning after
use in an oil spill.
Rivermax Boom offers the smallest storage volume of solid float boom
types, and can be stored on pallets, in containers. Systems incorporating
storage / deployment boxes, towing bridles, anchor systems and repair
kits.
Galvanized Steel cable can provide additional tensile strength for the
boom. The added tensile strength makes this boom suitable for some river
deployment applications.
It is manufactured in 25 m standard sections, which can be connected with
galvanised, steel U-bolts or ASTM.
