This standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, required characteristics and the mass of a
switch guard.

3 - TERMINOLOGY

4 - REQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS

4.1 - Configuration, dimensions, tolerances, mass

4.1.1 - Configuration, dimensions, tolerances of code type A, manufacturer code M, shall be

in accordance with figure 1.

General tolerances: ± 0,25 mm.

4.1.2 - Configuration, dimensions, tolerances of code type B, manufacturer code M, shall be

in accordance with figure 2.

General tolerances: ± 0,08 mm.

4.1.3 - Configuration, dimensions, tolerances of code type A, manufacturer code E, shall be

in accordance with figure 3.

General tolerances: ± 0,2 mm.

4.1.4 - Configuration, dimensions, tolerances of code type B, manufacturer code E, shall be

in accordance with figure 4.

General tolerances: ± 0,2 mm.

4.1.5 - Mass shall be in accordance with table 1.

4.2 - Material
Material shall be in accordance with table 1.

4.3 - Color code

Color code shall be in accordance with table 2.

4.4 - General characteristics

The difference between code types A and B is that type B can be mounted on a lighted
pushbutton switch for which it was not initially designed, without having to modify the integral
lighted panels cutouts.
