Dear needlewomen!!!
Thank you for choosing my crochet pattern!

This pattern contains the detailed description of the toy “Dragon”.

The crochet pattern is for your personal use only. This is an author's

The difficulty level is average.

The pattern does not contain crocheting lessons and requires basic
knowledge.

I hope the crocheting process will not make it difficult for you. I
tried to describe in all details each stage of creating this toy and I
think that you will succeed! If you still have any questions, do not

hdc - half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
dc sl st – double crochet slip stitch
puff – puff stitch (tr3tog cluster)

Triple inc – 3 stitches in same stitch cluster
Triple dec – 3 stitches together cluster
(…) – total amount of stitches in the row

Wings
Crochet two identical details. Start
crocheting with turquoise yarn, in turning rows
with 1 turning chain.
1. 4ch, from the 2nd stitch from the hook: 3sc
2. 3sc
3. 1inc., 1sc, 1inc. (5)
4-5. 5sc (2 rows)

15. 4dc, 3hdc, 3sc, 6sl st (16)
16. 4sl st, 4sc, 4hdc, 3dc, 3dc in one stitch (18) + 2ch
17. 1dc dec., 3dc, 4hdc, 3sc, 6sl st (17) – BLO
18. 6sl st, 3sc, 4hdc, 4dc (17) +2ch
19. 4dc, 3hdc, 10sc (17)
20. 3sc, 6hdc, 7dc, 1dc inc. (18)
Next, crochet 4ch and 1sl st in the first ch (pico). Go to the
outer edge of the wing and crochet sc on the contour, making 3 picos
more, in the 17th, 14th and 11th rows (where it was FLO and BLO
crocheting). Cut off the thread, secure and hide the thread ends.

19
!!!Crochet the second wing in the same way, just crochet FLO in
the 11th and 17th rows and BLO in the 14th row!!! (it is done to make
the free half-stitches of the 10th, 13th and 16th rows on the inside
of the wing)

Attach the sea wave yarn to the 10th row and crochet sc on the
remaining half-stitches, crochet sc in the 13th and 16th rows in the
same way. Repeat the same on the second wing.

20
Prepare the wire frame for the wings. Take two 17cm pieces of
the wire. Form a small hook on one edge of the wire, hook the
extreme stitch along the outer contour of the wing with the hook
(near the extreme pico) and bend the wire with thin pliers. Next,
attach the sea wave yarn to the extreme stitch of the 20th row
(also near the extreme pico, where the wire was attached) and begin
to crochet 18sc around the outer contour of the wing. Crochet 5sc
on the wire, bend the wire forming a stitch and then, apply the wire
along the second outer side of the wing, crochet sc on the edge with
the wire together. Cut off the thread, leave the long thread end for
sewing. Repeat the same with the second wing.

21
Assembly and decoration
For convenience, place the marker thread exactly in the
center in front. Next, relative to it, we will symmetrically place
all the details.
Pin the belly to the body centered on the front and sew on it.

22
In the center of the back, count 17 rows from the lower point
of the body and pin the tail, sew it on. The tail folds should be
exactly in the center of the back.

Pin the muzzle to the head. The center of the muzzle should
match the thread change line on the head. Sew on it.

23
Pin the spots to the head, back and tail: count 3 rows from the
muzzle and pin one detail №1, then one detail №2, one detail №3,
three details №4, and the last spot on the head – one detail №3. On
the back there are three details №3, on the tail – three details №1.
Sew on all the details.

Pin the underlip under the muzzle. It should pass exactly along
the edge of the muzzle from below and form an arc, the upper points
of the arc are on the sides of the muzzle, symmetrically relative to
the center of the head. See the photo. Sew on it.

24
Embroider the nostrils on the muzzle with turquoise yarn.
Tightening: mark points 1, 2, 3 and 4 with pins. They are located
on the upper line of the muzzle. The distance between the points 1 –
2, 3 – 4 is 4 stitches. Insert the needle under the lip into point 5,
output it in point 2, make a stitch and insert the needle into point 1,
output it under the lip in the point 5. Tighten points 3 and 4 in the
same way. Tie a knot under the lip, hide the thread ends inside.

25
Eyelids: crochet two identical details with sea wave yarn.
1. 11ch, from the 2nd stitch from the hook: 10sc
Cut off the thread, leave the long thread end for sewing.

Next, prepare the eyes: I use glass eyes with colored underlay
D-18mm and felt discs d-23mm (I gave them an oval shape by cutting
a little on the sides). Glue the eyes to the felt disc. Glue prepared
eyes under the tightening line. Pin and sew on the eyelids above the
eyes. See the photo.

26
Pin details №3 on both sides of the smile and detail №1 above it.
See the photo.
Embroider eyebrows with turquoise thread.
Pin the ears on the sides of the head. I previously steamed them
so that they got an even shape. Sew on it.

27
Thread attachment of the arms and legs
Attach the arms between the rows 4 and 5 (count from the
head). Attach the legs between the rows 10 and 11 (count from the
bottom).

Sewing the arms: insert the needle to the body and output it on
the opposite side. Leave the thread end for the fixing of the thread
later. Thread the needle through the arm, piercing the detail
through. Return to the same hole from which you came out, again
pierce the arm through, going out into the next stitch.

28
Elena Metlina

Thread the needle through the body again. The needle should
go into the next stitch from where it came out and return to the
opposite side, where you have the thread end. The thread ends are
now together on one side, tighten them so that the arm takes its
place. Pierce through the second arm, return to the same hole from
which you came out, and exit into the next stitch. Tighten all the
threads again so that the arms fit tightly to the body and make a
couple of knots.
Repeat the same 2 times more. Be sure that the needle goes
through the body with the thread all the time in the same way,
entering and exiting the same place. Secure the thread well, hide the
ends inside the body. Sew on the legs in the same way. Attach the legs
between the rows 10 and 11 (count from the bottom).

29
Insert the wire from the wings to the body, counting 7 rows
from the head. Pin the lower part of the wing with pins. Sew on it to
the body. Give the desired form to the wing.

30
Scarf

I take red yarn for the scarf. Start crocheting with ch, the
length of the future scarf will depend on the number of these ch.
Crochet in turning rows with 1tch at the beginning of each row:
1. 121ch, from the 2nd stitch from the hook - 120sc
2-4. 120dc BLO (3 rows) – the width of the future scarf will
depend on the number of the rows. You can choose each width which
you wish.
Cut off the thread, secure and hide the thread ends.
