B. INTERPRETING IDEAS

Hideout Falcon was built in an eco-friendly way with sustainability in mind. The material
used is sourced only in Indonesia, bamboo was harvested mostly in local forests in
Karangasem. In recent years, the use of bamboo has become a trend among designers
because it is environmentally friendly and easy to use in Indonesia. Why bamboo?

Bamboo is a plant that is easy to grow and easy to find. Bamboo is also a material
commonly used by Balinese people when building houses. Even so, its use is often not
maximized. For example, bamboo is actually used to build cow sheds even though, in fact,
bamboo could be used more widely. For example, for building houses, hotels, parks and
so on. This is what makes Hideout deliberately presented among Balinese people.

This building is designed to blend with nature. Located in the middle of the forest, the
shower is located outside the house, surrounded by lush Balinese forests. These trees
give the impression of living in a tree house. By working on a concept like this, hideout
falcon is claimed to be a resort that prioritizes energy efficient buildings that are in
accordance with Indonesian cultural architecture.
