Cab Glass Options
Description
This standard window package includes glass that meets
worldwide standards for safety and function. It contains a
combination of laminated and tempered glass. Laminated
glass consists of 2 panes of glass separated by a shatterproof
film. Laminated glass will not shatter when broken and resists
penetration from flying objects. Tempered safety glass is
designed to shatter into small pieces when broken. All glass
panes are tinted green with 75% minimum light transmittance
and use a “zip-in” rubber seal retention. The basic cab option Attachment Location
consists of:
– Laminated glass panes on front windshield and
doors
– Tempered safety glass panes with opening sliding
window frames on each side of the cab
– Tempered safety glass with a solid pane on rear of
cab
Customer Application
Where risk of falling objects or projectiles being thrown at the
cab is low. Also use where operators prefer side windows that
can open.
Description
The dual pane impact resistant cab glass resists penetration
of objects when working in applications where there is a risk
of projectiles or falling objects. All windows consist of two
panes of laminated glass, separated by 6.8 mm air space. All
glass panes are tinted green with 75% minimum light
transmittance and use a “zip-in” rubber seal. Impact Resistant
Glass meets the following standards:
– Australian/New Zealand (AS/NZS 2080: 2006)
Attachment Location
– American National Standards Institute (ANSI
Z26.1 DOT)
– Economic Commission of Europe (ECE R43)
Customer Application
Use where there is a risk of damage to cab windows from
projectiles or falling objects. Dual pane glass slightly lowers
operator sound levels and improves cab climate conditions.
Description
Ultra-Strength 40 psi glass is designed to provide additional
operator protection when working in applications where a risk of
stockpile material shifts or collapse due to voids exist, which
may engulf the tractor. All windows consist of laminated glass of
13.5 mm total thickness, wrapped in an integrated outer frame.
This Ultra-Strength glass has no impact to visibility over
standard glass options. All windows are bonded to the outside
surface of the cab structure.
